Happy November to each and every one of you. As you read our newsletter this month, may the good things in life be yours in abundance that stays with you all year round.

I have always enjoyed this time of year for many reasons, some of which are the change in the seasons, the harvest colors, time spent with friends and family, and the preparations for the holiday season. Here at ACN we have lots to be grateful for this year. Throughout the year we have shared thoughtful, caring and relevant speakers and panelists with you. To each of our speakers and panelists, we consider it a privilege to share your stories. We expanded the Care Account services to include employers through the availability of The Emily Plan. We launched the smart debit Care Card for caregivers. And, the release of the new website with expanded resources and preferred partners for our members. We have also added many new ACN members and several additions to our ACN staff and board. We thank each of you for your continued support.

For those of you who haven’t checked out the new website, please do so! It was released in late October and took a team of amazingly talented individuals to bring it all together. Check it out and send us your comments. Early next year we will be expanding our Members Only Resource page with new preferred partnerships. We will also be adding recurring topics to our Blog like “Did You Know…”, “Empowering Lives Through Technology”, “Book of the Month” and a regular feature on “Fun and Entertainment”. We are also planning the addition of a video library of events and interviews with our speakers, panelists and preferred partners which will have Members Only access.

We are grateful for your feedback and insight to continue to help ACN reach and serve more people.
The fall centerpiece on my dining room table has long been a cornucopia overflowing with nature’s bounty. Dictionary.com defines “cornucopia” as a symbol of abundance and overflowing supply. As I walk past it each morning, I am reminded to give thanks for the abundance in my life. Every year the bounty in the cornucopia is different as it’s filled with the harvest of the current year. It’s reminiscent of life in general; ever-changing and producing different results.

Thanksgiving at our home changes every year as well, but it always includes an open invitation to those who would like to share the spirit of thanksgiving while consuming an endless supply of good food and great company. We don’t make it back to Iowa most years for Thanksgiving, but we’ve created our own traditions by inviting those without family near them to share the day with us. Families and friends come in all shapes and sizes. I encourage you to invite someone (or multiple someone’s) who you know will be eating alone on Thanksgiving to share the day with you and your family.

There is always something to be grateful for: whether it’s health, family, friends, food, or home; you don’t need a special day to say “thank you”!”

We encourage you also to share ACN with your friends and family by inviting them to connect with us through our monthly newsletter.

From the President’s desk to yours, make it an amazing and grateful month!
