MEET OUR SPEAKERS:

TINA BUCHANAN, MSW, a Visionary Care Consultant and an Aging Life Care Ambassador with www.visionarycaresd.com

Tina’s passion is to help families, and their aging loved ones create a plan for care. She helps them access resources in their community, supports them in making sometimes painful and emotionally charged decisions, and has over 10 years of experience working in this field. Tina most recently has started coaching other aging life care professionals on how to create their own successful businesses in the field of aging.

Tina holds a Masters Degree in Social Work, and her past experience was working in Skilled Nursing Facilities and Home Health Care.

She started Visionary Care Consultants, with a mission to support families needing guidance, resources, information, many don’t have access to, or don’t know is available to them. Her passions in aging life care comes not only from experience, but witnessing her own grandparents age, and now her own parents.

Tina is a Member of Aging Life Care Association, San Diego County Council on Aging and The Co-Chair for Elderhelp of San Diego’s Essence of Life Event in 2018.

Jill SWARTZ-KING, Owner of Elder Care Concierge, www.eldercare-concierge.com

Jill, a native of La Jolla, has been working in the healthcare field for decades. She started at Mission Bay Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital. She rose to the rank of VP at Eisenhower Medical Center. Her experience ranges from Psychiatric care, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Home Health Care, Hospice and Palliative Care to Home Care and Placement.

Working in corporate healthcare, Jill realized that families needed advocates after witnessing several painful events that could have been avoided if the families had advocates. Jill made an intentional decision to work directly with families to fill the gap.

Jill has three grown daughters and she is an active member and past president of the Rancho Santa Fe Rotary Club.
