Hi, Cora,

What you are doing is so cool and I so admire you and enjoy your meetings and seeing how this thing evolves.

Since you all have had to listen to me whine so much about my mother, I wanted to share some amazing news with you. After I threw her a 95th birthday party in August, things just shifted and she started to admit that she simply could not go on alone in her falling apart house on a washing away beach anymore – and she could not accommodate any help. With her short term memory going, her increasing frailty and the immediate risk of the coming El Nino, she finally just gave up the battle and agreed to sell her house. I am preparing to move her to a community residential home. So you won’t have to listen to any more complaints from me! But I have really learned a lot in your meetings, and it has helped me be a more compassionate daughter and to better understand the issues from all sides.
